ACADEMIC EMPOWERMENT COACHING™

Our goal is to help your child achieve his or her full academic potential by building self-awareness, self-direction and self-reliance. Our curriculum is designed in 3 steps:

Step 1: The Roadmap & Actionable Goals. Your child will complete a suite of online assessments and a one-on-one interview with an Academic Empowerment Coach to develop a detailed evaluation of where your child stands with respect to the building blocks of academic and life success: goal-setting, effective daily routines, efficient study habits, critical thinking skills, mindfulness, and positive self-talk.

Based on your child’s Roadmap, we will walk you through a comprehensive report and share our three recommendations for growth — three well-defined, behavioral shifts that will have the most significant impact on your child’s self-image and performance.

Step 2: 1-on-1 Coaching. Your Academic Empowerment Coach will meet with your child for 1-2 hours, up to 3 days per week* — cementing the building blocks of success and focusing on their three key behavioral shifts until they are achieved. At that point, we may suggest additional coaching, or we may recommend that your child continue practicing these shifts independently in order to fully incorporate them.

*We structure your child’s coaching program according to their needs and schedule.

Step 3: Self Sufficiency & Sustained Growth.  Your child’s Academic Empowerment Coaching will have a defined end point — a point at which it’s appropriate for your child to assume primary ownership of their personal development. While we happily provide post-program support, most graduates of Flourish will be independently identifying areas they’d like to improve and proactively developing the strengths and habits necessary for their academic and long-term success.
